Tenderloin Tech Lab Spotlight Series: Lilybeth

The mission of the Tenderloin Tech Lab, a partnership with San Francsico Network Ministries, is to provide drop in computers and computer courses that offer individuals the opportunity to learn and enhance their skills. Providing daily classes such as, Typing 101, Web and E-mail Intro, and Basic Computer Skills, the Tenderloin Tech Lab gives its members a proper foundation to use and master the computer.

Lilybeth has been taking computer classes at the tech lab for several years now, and she even takes certain classes more than once because, “you can always learn more” she says. She has attended and enjoyed a number of Tech Fairs and classes, and in our recent conversation noted, “I never leave disappointed”. Lilybeth shared how wonderful the volunteer teachers are at the Tenderloin Tech Lab and how much they have helped her understand what she now knows about computers. Modeling the “each one teach one” skills she learned at the Tenderloin Tech Lab, today Lilybeth tutors at a neighboring computer lab, sharing the skills that she learned with other people in the community.
