Thanksgiving at St. Anthony’s this year was a remarkable tapestry of community, gratitude, and shared humanity. Our Dining Room was alive with warmth and joy as thousands of guests gathered to enjoy a traditional holiday meal served with love and care. Conversations flowed, laughter echoed, and the spirit of the season brought us all together in a celebration of unity and abundance.

Br. Martin began the day with an inspiring prayer, giving thanks for the blessings of life and community. His words reminded us that Thanksgiving is not just about food but about creating a space where everyone feels seen, valued, and loved.

Chef Annria and her incredible team outdid themselves once again, preparing a feast that brought smiles to every face. From juicy roasted turkeys to all the holiday trimmings including fresh baked challah, the meal reflected the heart of St. Anthony’s mission: to nourish the body, mind, and soul.

As we served meals, one guest shared, “This isn’t just about eating—it’s about feeling like you belong.” That sentiment is the cornerstone of what we do, ensuring everyone who walks through our doors experiences dignity and care.

Our celebration was made possible by the incredible support of hundreds of volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout the week. From setting up to serving meals, their kindness turned this holiday into a beacon of hope and connection for our city.

For 74 years, St. Anthony’s has honored Father Alfred’s vision of creating a space where everyone—regardless of their circumstances—can celebrate the holidays as they should be celebrated. Each Thanksgiving meal is a testament to the generosity of our community and the enduring spirit of San Francisco.
