SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 13, 2025 – St. Anthony Foundation will host its inaugural Tenderloin Employment Connections (TEC) event on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 150 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, CA in the Poverello Room on the first floor. This free event is open to all and tailored for individuals looking to re-enter the workforce, offering connections to employers, workforce development programs, and on-the-spot job opportunities. Participating organizations include Jewish Vocational Services, GLIDE, Episcopal Community Services, Goodwill, BiRite Foodservice Distributors, City and County of San Francisco, SFO, and Sutter Health, among others.

In San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, where more than 20,000 residents face poverty and employment barriers, TEC aims to address workforce challenges and promote economic stability. Attendees will have access to workshops on resume writing and interview skills, as well as one-on-one interviews with hiring managers—bringing hope, tools, and opportunity to a community in need.

“Providing meaningful pathways to employment is at the heart of St. Anthony Foundation’s mission,” said Dr. Larry Kwan, CEO of St. Anthony Foundation. “By collaborating with community partners and local employers, we’re empowering individuals to achieve stability, self-sufficiency, and dignity through sustainable work opportunities.”

Event Highlights:

  • Resume Clinic: Tailored support to craft or revise resumes.
  • Interview Workshop: Practice and refine interview skills.
  • Employer & Resource Exhibitor Booths: Meet local employers and nonprofits offering job training and services.
  • Onsite Interviews: Opportunities to connect directly with hiring managers.
  • Tech Lab Resources: Access to Wi-Fi and classrooms for additional job support.

Thank You to Our Partners: St. Anthony Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to BiRite Foodservice Distributors, SFO, Sutter Health, and all our community partners for their generous support in making this event possible.
