Elected Leaders to Join St. Anthony Foundation to Celebrate the Holiday Season with its 3rd Annual Giving Thanks on Golden Gate Distribution Event on the Golden Gate Greenway in the Tenderloin

Volunteers, Supporters and Team Members to Bring Hope, Stability and Joy for thousands in need this holiday season.
WHAT: Giving Thanks on Golden Gate Distribution Event and Block Party in the Tenderloin
WHY: St. Anthony Foundation, committed to serving as the most accessible, effective one-stop resource in the Tenderloin, providing whole person care to thousands of San Franciscans in need annually, is hosting its 3rd annual Giving Thanks on Golden Gate block party on Tuesday, November 26 from 11:45am – 2:00pm.
St. Anthony’s team members, donors, and volunteers will be distributing hundreds of hygiene kits, warm socks, hats, scarves, children’s goody bags, and refreshments, including cookies and hot chocolate to attendees, families, and people in need. Several elected leaders will distribute essential items, including State Senator Scott Wiener (D), Mayor-Elect Daniel Lurie, City Attorney David Chiu, San Francisco Police Chief William (Bill) Scott, San Francisco Fire Chief Sandy Tong, members of the police and fire department, and members of the Board of Supervisors.
Additionally, San Francisco Bike Coalition will be hosting a bike activation along the block (i.e., Golden Gate Greenway) including a bike giveaway for adults, kids, and toddlers. The 60-person De Marillac Academy children’s choir and a senior choir will be performing live music at the event. Several other FREE family activities will be available, including face painting, a photo booth, arts and crafts stations, a holiday card writing station, games, story-time book reading, raffles and giveaways, …plus, a special appearance by San Francisco Giants’ Lou Seal!
