All Hallows Eve + All Saints + All Souls = Los Dias de los Muertos

It is no coincidence that all these celebrations coincide with one another this time of the year. Did you know that All Hallows Eve and the Christian holy days of All Saints Day and All Souls Day turns into a celebration in Mexico of Los Dias de los Muertos?  I love that Los Dias de los Muertos is not a sad time, but a time of remembering loved ones who have gone before us and yet reminding us to rejoice in the connections we have with all people, all times, and all places.
