To serve this many people, St. Anthony’s kitchen staff has prepared more than 1,000 pounds of lemon rosemary chicken, 900 pounds of potatoes, and new this year, 1,600 servings of homemade focaccia and cookies.

WHO: St. Anthony Foundation

WHEN: Wednesday, December 25, 2024. Lunch service from 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (Doors open at 7:00 a.m. for coffee and pastries)

WHERE: St. Anthony Foundation Dining Room, 121 Golden Gate Ave. near Jones Street, First Floor, San Francisco, CA 94102

WHY: As an organization inspired by 800-plus-year-old Franciscan values, St. Anthony’s believes that on Christmas, and every day, we’re called to uplift the most vulnerable among us with the dignity and respect that each person deserves. Much more than a meal, St. Anthony’s is the most effective, accessible one-stop resource in the Tenderloin providing whole-person care that includes warm meals 365 days a year, free clothing and showers, medical care, behavioral health services, residential addiction recovery for men, peer support, job training and jobs.

Opening our doors and hearts to our neighbors in need on Christmas day and every day of the year is a joy for us,” said Dr. Larry Kwan, CEO St. Anthony Foundation. “Importantly, we are deeply grateful to our extraordinary community of volunteers and donors whose kindness fuels our mission to equip our guests with love and the tools to thrive.”
