St. Anthony Foundation Kicks Off the Holiday Season with Special Event to Prepare Hundreds of Hygiene Kits and Warm Winter Essentials to Distribute to Those in Need at the 3rd Annual Giving Thanks on Golden Gate Block Party

Dozens of helping hands, including foundation team members, donors, and volunteers, to assemble winter essentials to give to hundreds of people in need on November 26

WHAT: Giving Thanks on Golden Gate Preparation Day

WHY: St. Anthony Foundation, committed to providing the most accessible, effective one-stop resource for whole person care in the Tenderloin for thousands of San Franciscans annually, is throwing its 3nd annual block party, Giving Thanks on Golden Gate, on Tuesday, November 26. As part of the holiday event, St. Anthony’s team members and volunteers will spread holiday cheer and hand out hundreds of hygiene kits, children’s goody bags, warm socks, hats, scarves, holiday cookies and hot chocolate.

To prepare for the block party, a Prep Day will be held on Saturday, November 23 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. when team members, volunteers, and donors will assemble hundreds of warm winter essentials for our neighbors.

“The holiday season can be a challenging time for those in need, and that’s why we’re so grateful for our volunteers’ support in bringing joy to local children, families and individuals,” said Dr. Larry Kwan, CEO, St. Anthony Foundation.
