Marti Sullivan joined St. Anthony’s in January 2023 as Chief Advancement Officer. She has been raising funds and awareness for educational and human services organizations for over 35 years. She spent 16 years at Schools of the Sacred Heart, San Francisco, raising over $35M in annual and capital funds during her tenure as Director of Development & Alumni Relations, leading to campus expansion and the establishment of Stuart Hall High School. She then spent 6 years at Catholic Charities as Director of Development & Communications, where she was first introduced to St. Anthony’s Fr. John Hardin while celebrating CC’s Centennial in 2007. She led a multi-year fundraising strategy that included raising over $25M in annual and capital funds, planned, and major gifts. In 2011, she became Chief Development Officer at The Arc San Francisco, an agency that supports 850 adults with developmental disabilities in continuing education, wellness, workforce development, and job placement. Marti completed her tenure at The Arc SF in 2021, having raised over $17M.
After a brief retirement, Marti joined St. Anthony’s, primarily directing her efforts toward further deepening relationships with significant supporters as we prepare for our 75th Anniversary, establishing the Leadership Council and Season of Hope, and supporting data migration to the Salesforce platform, in addition to overseeing the development and volunteer services teams.
In her spare time, Marti enjoys a monthly book club, plays bad golf, and helps her grown kids with her three grandchildren. Marti’s late husband, Ron, passed away in 2010. Marti lives in San Francisco and has long been committed to supporting the most vulnerable in our community.
